Brainfuse Selected for Fulton County Schools’ Tutoring Provider Pool

Virtual high-dosage tutoring offers focused ELA and mathematics support tied directly to classroom instruction

Elementary, middle, and high schools across the district can now partner with Brainfuse for virtual high-dosage small-group tutoring in English language arts and mathematics.

Fulton County Schools stretches more than 70 miles from Chattahoochee Hills to Johns Creek, with schools managing different schedules, staffing resources, and student needs. Virtual tutoring gives schools a way to schedule recurring sessions without depending only on tutors who can travel to their campus. Students can participate from school while still working live with an experienced subject-area tutor.

Under the Fulton County Schools model, tutoring groups include no more than four students, and each student receives at least 90 minutes of support per week. Brainfuse programs can typically be organized into three or more sessions each week over a sustained tutoring cycle. Students are grouped according to their skills and instructional needs and work with a consistent tutor or tutoring team.

Instruction aligns with the Georgia Standards of Excellence and reinforces Tier 1 classroom learning while providing targeted Tier 2 support for students who need additional intervention. Tutors can use assessment results, student work, teacher input, and district priorities to identify where students need support. ELA tutoring can incorporate evidence-based reading and writing strategies, while mathematics instruction emphasizes conceptual understanding, fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving.

In the Brainfuse online classroom, students can upload assignments, write or draw on an interactive whiteboard, and communicate with their tutor through chat, audio, or video. These options allow students to participate in the way that works best for them. Session archives also let students return to previous explanations and review completed work.

Teachers and administrators can monitor attendance, tutoring activity, skills addressed, tutor notes, assessment performance, and student progress through secure dashboards and downloadable reports.
